Welcome to the website of the Energy Efficient Mortgages Hub of the Netherlands. The Energy Efficient Mortgages Hub Netherlands (EEM NL Hub) is a recent initiative of key stakeholders in the Dutch residential mortgage market to share ideas and follow relevant market developments.

Participants of the EEM NL Hub support and promote the acceleration and adaptation of energy efficient housing in the Netherlands and the financing thereof.

The focus areas of the EEM NL Hub are:

• Maintain a network (hub) of market participants in the mortgage space across a range of industries (funders, investors, legal, IT, government) that exchange ideas in order to promote energy efficiency mortgages;
• Setting (and maintaining) the Dutch Energy Efficient Mortgage Framework that will provide a definition of and set standards for energy efficient mortgages in the Netherlands;
• Accelerating the broad acceptance of energy efficient mortgages as both a (mainstream) asset class and a retail product in and outside of the Netherlands;
• Contribute towards the Dutch national policy (Klimaatakkoord, Klimaatcommitment, klimaatwet) with respect to residential properties.
